Can you recognize a pet if is in pain?
Pain is associated with surgery, disease or illness, you might notice:
- Less eating, drinking, or not at all
- Panting, Shaking
- Less active and refusing the walks
- Licking, chewing or worried about the surgical site
- Decreased grooming
- Flinching and tens at palpation, were is the surgical site
Your pet won`t lay down on the incision or if it tried to, then immediately changes to a different position
The main sign of pain is a change in behavior: more subdued, lethargy, sadness, quiet, incontinence, hiding, listless

Palliative Support
- in regard relief of pain or any distressing symptoms
Palliative care or "supportive care" is the treatment for pets with a life-limiting illness
- and the aim is to help to have a good quality of life. It`s important to stabilize the symptoms,
- minimize pain, discomfort and any kind of distress. Some illness as all sort of cancer types,
- any important organ failure, advanced arthritis or any neurological disorder which will impact
- severe the pet mobility –are all on this spectrum of palliative care. The treatments are
- tailored for each pet need.
Your pet is not speaking our language, but, they transmit signals that they`re not actually fine if they face life-limiting illness.

Peaceful Euthanasia
When is the time?
This is the most challenging and difficult situation that you`ll ever meet, to take a decision for `when is the time`
Each pet is unique, and you as a dedicated owner, you don`t want to see your pet suffering and been in pain, so, a decision need to be taken, either palliative treatment/pain relief need to be in place or, if the situation is too complicated, best is to ask for the support.
We`re doing pre-euthanasia consultation which will include:
- having details about the current health problem, symptoms and medications/treatment
- quality of life/welfare discussion
- checking for the pain relief requirements, checking the symptoms and looking to make how much is possible
- the pet to be kept safe and comfortable;
- recommendations of what to do in the situation if a crisis occurs, crisis prevention, guidance in regard out-of-hours
- support and other options
